I know many people that are obsessed with nutrition. I’ve learned something very important about myself from this topic. We’ll talk about this more in the next article.
Well if you can eat right, be well fed, and live a long life, then you are healthy. Not everyone is like that though, especially in the last few years the obesity problem has been on the rise in the USA and many other developed parts of the world. That makes it all the more important to keep people in their natural, healthy state of being. A good diet is only one part of the equation. The other is exercising regularly.
People who exercise are healthier, and people who are healthy are less likely to exercise. Well that’s pretty obvious, but many people are afraid to try it. I’m not going to lie, I just bought a Fitbit and it doesn’t even work. I’m sure there are others out there who feel the same. The best thing to do is to just get on the treadmill.
Even though the average American has a diet that is good for us, many people find it hard to stick to it. People have food cravings and struggle to stay on a diet. One of the most common ways that people fall off is overeating. We all know that the more you eat, the more you gain. It’s especially true for the obese. But overeating is also a problem for healthy people.
Some people get that “fat is good” message when they put on a fat suit, but they end up gaining weight. This is because many people are overweight due to bad lifestyle choices such as smoking, drinking, high-calorie food, lack of exercise, or the inability to exercise. In general, people with unhealthy eating behaviors tend to gain more weight than those that are following the same diet but are exercising more.
In the above video, I mentioned that the average overweight person gains around 1 to 2 pounds per year. According to a recent study published in the journal of Obesity, people with a body mass index (BMI) over 25 tend to gain an extra 15 to 30 pounds per year.
The study found that obese people tend to gain weight in the face of an eating plan. When people have a good healthy eating plan, they tend to gain weight during the first few years of the study, but then they tend to lose weight as time goes on, until they reach their target weight. When people are not following a healthy eating plan, they tend to gain weight from the beginning.
Let’s start with the body mass index because that’s what most of us are familiar with, though you can find it in any article on the obesity epidemic. The BMI is a measure of body fat that ranges from 0 to 125. If you have a BMI, you have a body fat percentage. Body fat percentage is the percentage of fat your body has. The greater the percentage of fat a person has, the more fat they will gain.
Having a BMI of over 25 is considered overweight. People with a BMI between 25 and 30 are considered obese, and people with a BMI between 30 and 35 are considered underweight. People with a BMI of 35 or higher are considered morbidly obese. It’s important to note that while obese, underweight, or morbidly obese people gain weight, they don’t gain it evenly. Some people gain more weight, while others retain their weight.
Obesity and obesity are not a disease. Obesity is not a disease and cannot be prevented. Being able to exercise, eat healthy foods, and live a healthy lifestyle is the best way to stay healthy and keep your weight down.
