With inter vlan routing, each router on the local network, can be configured to connect to another router. This is done by using a different IP address on each router and setting the router to route through the local network.
It works by setting up a rule that says, “Hey, let’s make all the routers in the vlan use our IP address, and then the routers in the vlan will just listen to each other.
I don’t know, I think this is like playing with a toy. Cisco has been in the game for years, and they have a pretty decent product. It’s a little bit frustrating to know that you can’t use the same IP address on all the routers, but it’s not really anything that really bothers me.
Its very easy to configure inter vlan routing. But once youve done that, it should work with all the other routing protocols. I’ve been using it for years, and it works pretty well.
If youve got the right hardware, you can use this same routing protocol to configure a vlan to route traffic to another vlan. This is useful because Cisco’s routing protocol has a number of options to let you configure your routing table to route traffic to various ports on the network. A port is an Ethernet port. You can also use Cisco’s vlan to route traffic to different network segments.
As it turns out, Cisco’s new inter-vlan routing protocol does actually function, and it works very well. The protocol is similar to the Ciscos protocol but adds support for multiple vlan’s on a single network segment. The protocol is also compatible with Cisco’s proprietary inter-vlan routing protocol, which I have yet to try.
Inter-vlan routing is the process of taking traffic off of a network segment and then routing it to a different network segment. Inter-vlan routing is a highly recommended protocol for network engineers.
The advantage of inter-vlan routing is that it’s fast and can handle traffic from multiple sources at the same time. The protocol can also handle multiple traffic streams on a single network segment with the same configuration. It’s very easy to set up. Here is a nice example of a configuration file.
It’s a good idea to have two inter vlan routing protocols on the network. Cisco-managed inter vlan routing is best, as it allows more control over how traffic is routed, but it may not be as fast as Cisco managed inter vlan routing. If you are running both protocols, then you can have the inter vlan routing routing protocols talking to each other, which is a good practice because you can set up faster and with less overhead.
Inter vlan routing is a bit complicated, and there are many ways to set it up. I’ve done it in the past with a great deal of control and a very good level of security, and it has worked well. As a side note, I’ve seen an older Cisco router that was running a Cisco managed inter vlan routing protocol fail over to Cisco managed inter vlan routing shortly after a switch reboot.
