The real beauty of the duplex would be the ability to have three bedrooms on two separate floors. However, the real trouble with that option is the fact that if you are renting a house, you may not have two separate bedrooms. This is not a huge deal for most people, but it can be a big problem if you have two separate bedrooms. One for each person, and if you are on the same floor, you are more likely to have two or more bedrooms.
