One of the reasons I’m so much interested in team work is because its something I think we can all agree on. The way we think about the world and the way we interact with each other matters. The reason that the way I work is such a good example of effective communication is because I have a clear mind and I always see the big picture. I know this because I’ve been working in the health care field for a long time.
The problem is that most people on the front lines of the health care business don’t have that clear of mind. It’s not that they don’t care about the big picture, it’s that they don’t have the tools to see it. A person who is good with the tools but lacks the mental clarity to see the big picture is one of the most frustrating people to work with. The way to overcome this is to find professionals that are able to help you visualize the big picture.
Because most of us have to deal with the same problems in our lives, we tend to get stuck in the mindset that we’re the solution to all our problems. We tend to think we can just solve your problem and you’ll be good. The thing is, that is far from the truth. To actually solve your problem, you have to put it in front of you and have the guts to see it.
