This was posted on the blog two days ago and is a great example of how you can take the time to create your own little version of the Krishna Dances. I love the idea of incorporating different colors and textures to give your dance a new look.
I thought of Krishna Dances as a dance-off that I made up just because I wanted to put my voice to something that I thought was quite interesting. I thought of it as a way to be playful and fun, but also playfully challenging your audience to dance to the same music (of course with a different set of variations).
This was a short one, but it was kind of fun to see how much I could make out of the idea in my little krishna dance. I also like how the song can be a bit of an expression of a person. If you do a krishna dance with a friend, you can tell them the krishna dance you’re doing and they can tell you what they’re thinking. I think this has quite a personal meaning to it.
