Most people don’t realize cisco routers are not just another piece of networking gear. They’re built to make your life easier and more productive on the network. They’re a little more like a smartphone than a router—but they’re even more powerful.
Cisco routers are the Internet of Things, because theyre a network of connected devices that can do a lot of things and be networked together. They are also the way that we can access websites like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube all from our living room. We can access these services on our phones (if we have Cisco phones), and also on a computer in our office. Theres no reason to use routers unless youre doing something more than just connecting to the internet.
For the most part, routers are networked devices that will connect to either Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Theres a few exceptions. Most routers can also be used to connect to the wired LAN, while some can also connect to the wireless. But theres a lot more to it than that. Unlike most routers, Cisco routers will connect to multiple networks simultaneously, so we can use their built-in WAN port to access the internet from multiple locations.
The best part is that cisco routers can connect to multiple wireless networks, so we can now use our wireless to connect to the wired LAN. But we can also use our wireless to connect to our home’s wireless network if we want to. And theres a few other options for connecting to a wired network, too. We can tether our phone to the router with either a USB or a USB-to-Ethernet cable.
Wireless will be more complicated than that for some people because wireless routers are based on the IEEE 802.11 standard, which is designed for 2.4 GHz. If you have a good antenna on your router, though, you should be able to get away with using your wireless to connect to the wireless network on your home’s LAN. Or you can use your wireless router to access the wireless network on your phone.
You should be able to tether as an option, but you will need to connect your phone to the wireless network on the router. Also, you will need to use a wireless router that supports 802.11b or 802.11g or both, which is a lot more expensive than a wireless router.
For a lot of businesses, especially those that deal with a lot of wireless devices, wireless routers are a good way of allowing them to be connected to the Internet. As you’ll see in the video below, cisco has made some really nice routers that support 802.11b and 802.11g connectivity. This means you can tether your phone to the router and use it as a wireless hotspot.
Yeah, a lot of people think that the only way you can use your wireless router as a hotspot is if it’s a real hotspot. That’s not the case with cisco. You can use it as a hotspot with a hotspot connection to your wireless router. Which means you can also use it as a hotspot on the computer. Which is a really neat trick, since you can access your files on your phone, email, etc. from there on your PC.
The cisco router interface allows you to plug in your phone, iPad, or other device and connect it to your cisco router using a connection cable, which makes it a nice little gadget to use while you walk around the house.
The cisco router interface is really cool, but it is not built with security in mind. It can be accessed by anyone with a router, since it is a hotspot that is connected to your wireless router. You can use it as a hotspot on your phone, tablet, computer, etc. But on the cisco router it is for browsing the web.
