I’ve been a member of the alternative health collective for almost 5 years and I love it. This isn’t just another group where people listen to others’ opinions. This is a group where I can discuss my own, and a group that I feel is very open-minded and accepting of not only the fact that other people are different, but the fact that I am also different.

Health and wellness are very complex and often involve many different aspects. When we think of alternative health groups we think of holistic doctor’s offices and hospitals. But a health and wellness group can be a great alternative to some of those. For example, if you like yoga, but hate taking regular trips to the doctor’s office, you can join a yoga group that meets on your own time. Or you can join a weight loss club that meets once a month.
The health and wellness aspect of an alternative group is what will probably draw the most attention. But we’re going to talk more about the other aspects of the group. For example, if you’re interested in going vegan, but are scared of being seen as “quitting your diet,” you can join a vegan group.
Although the health and wellness aspect seems to appeal to a lot of people, the group itself will be fairly niche. It will be almost exclusively a non-smoking group, and the only way to be seen as vegan will be to join a vegan group.
For most of us vegans, our focus is vegan lifestyle change. After all, how do you know if you are doing the right thing? There is a lot of research and anecdotal evidence to support the idea that vegan lifestyle changes are associated with a lower risk of cancer, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic diseases.
Well, a lot of people think that veganism is harmful to health. The argument goes that since animals have to be fed, housed, and cared for they can’t afford to eat a vegan diet. Some people feel that vegan diet is only good for short-term weight loss. But as far as I know, no one has ever been able to prove that vegan diet causes cancer or heart disease.
The opposite is also true. The Vegan Society has been at the center of the recent debate over the link between veganism and health, and they have been working with a wide variety of health organizations fighting to change public perception of the link.
Vegans are not really a new phenomenon. For centuries people have known that eating a diet that contains very little animal byproducts, and a substantial amount of plant-based fats, could help them prevent serious diseases like cancer and heart disease. The Vegan Society has been working to change public perception of the link for some time, and have been advocating for veganism for a long time. The organization has been active in the U.S., Germany, and Canada.
