This post is just a quick summary of the many ways that mindfulness can be applied to our daily lives. A person with a busy schedule is more likely to be mindful than someone who is more relaxed, and it’s easier for your brain to just keep paying attention to what is going on around you.
Mindfulness is a skill that allows you to see the world around you in a new way, to see the bigger picture, and to pay closer attention to your surroundings without having to focus on what is right in front of your face. We all know that we can have a “hazy” day, or a difficult day, or a day where we can be more “mindful,” but we all have the ability to pay attention to what is going on in our lives.
The ability to be mindful is one of the most important skills we can develop. As much as we want to pay attention to our own thoughts, we are more prone to distraction by whatever is going on outside of us. This is because our minds are constantly in a loop that runs the gamut from the mundane to the extraordinary.
The problem is that mindfulness can be difficult to develop. It’s like when you try to put on earplugs in an airplane and you get the jet lag. The brain is so busy trying to process the jet lag that it can forget it has anything to do with you. Mindfulness is the ability to focus on the present moment, without distraction, because there is too much to remember.
The main reason we have to set up mindfulness is to have it both ways. We want to be able to focus our attention on the present moment; we want to be able to focus on the past. We need to have it both ways. It’s the same thing. We want to be able to stop, and focus on one moment; we want to focus on the next moment. But mindfulness is just a tool, not a real thing.
It’s the tool of our minds to make us more mindful. We use mindfulness when we stop to think about why we are doing something, stop to think about what we want to accomplish, stop to think about what we want to say. But if we don’t do it mindfully, we are just going to do it mindlessly.
Yes, mindfulness is a powerful tool. But by default we tend to use it to control ourselves. So rather than being mindful, we are mindful of controlling. So if we want to master our mind to the point where we can be more mindful, we need to do a lot more than just practice meditation. We need to practice mindfulness in our everyday lives as well.
In the past, many people have thought meditation is just a way to meditate. But it is not. The idea of “meditation” is like a word or concept that we use to describe the act of sitting quietly for a long time. It can be a skill, a meditation technique, or it can be a mental state. The act of sitting quietly is a skill, and the act of sitting quietly is a mental state.

In the video above, I noticed that some of the people who were sitting quietly during the interview were sitting quietly with their eyes closed. They seemed to be concentrating on their thoughts, and they were looking at the wall. Of course, I had to watch the same video twice to check that out.
