The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for too long that our autopilot skills go out the window. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them we control us.
The problem is when we havent even noticed that we are on autopilot, and it becomes the norm. This is a bit of an overkill, but the Visionaries are not just a bunch of crazy party-lovers. They’re actually the best of the best. They’ve been locked into this loop for 1000 years because of a powerful artifact called the Eye of Providence. The Eye of Providence has given the Visionaries super-powers and control over time.
All this time the Visionaries have been waiting for the Eye of Providence to end their misery. But in order to do that, they need to take the Eye of Providence from the Eye of Providence. That means killing the Visionaries.
